Where can I buy the best tasting matzoh ball soup to-go today in MD/DC. FYI, I am not a fan of the matzoh ball soup at Parkway Deli (I don’t like the large dense matzoh balls and prefer no noodles in the soup).
Thanks! |
| the problem I have with paying for matzoh ball soup is you pay like $25 for a container with mostly broth, a couple of carrots and onions and like 3 actual matzoh balls. That being said, the best ones for me are Brooklyn deli or attmans. |
| I like Bethesda Bagel’s matzo ball soup. Get the balls on the side and add them back to hot broth at home. They usually have a balanced amount of chicken and carrots. It’s good! |
| This is OP. Attman’s was excellent and exactly what I was seeking- thank you! PS- It was delicious broth, tons of carrots and celery, shredded chicken and one large and fluffy matzoh ball! |
I was going to say Parkway. To me, their matzoh balls are the best part! |

Our go to deli is Chutzpah in Fairfax. I haven't had the matzo ball chicken soup, but just about everything else there as been good.
Note: it is a bit New York in there. |
| I had a gray, disgustingly cold in the center matzo ball at Parkway last year; the waitress didn't particularly apologize, just said that sometimes happens w previously frozen matzo balls. I was very turned off. I think Wagshals in upper NW has good matzo ball soup but not everyday. |
| In the future you might check out Celebrity Delly. |
| I like Bradley's on Arlington road in Bethesda. |
