We’re visiting grandpa with 4 kids ages 12 and under and just realized the annual fireworks are cancelled. Any ideas for what else to do to celebrate? Thanks! |
We're going to be in Naples too and I was disappointed that the fireworks were cancelled. The new plan is just to go to the beach for the sunset. If you want crowds, there will be a lot of activity by the pier even though the pier has not been repaired after Ian. Other than that, my kids love Naples around New Years -- the beach, boating, kayaking & the zoo are all hits.

There will be fireworks on Fort Myers Beach. You can come in from the Naples side and probably see them from any beach. |
Thanks! Can we see them from the Naples beach? We’re also considering a night at great wolf lodge to celebrate |
I think you can see the fort meyers fireworks from the lowdermilk park beach, but I am not positive. Naples has a great children's museum, the Zoo, downtown/pier/beach area is great with the lights for the holidays. |
We too are very disappointed by the fire works cancellation as its been a go to place for us for years, especially now with grandchildren because the fireworks took place at around 7pm. This year we will just go down to the beach with a lot of friends and have a sunset party and then back to our house for an early dinner. The city cancelled it because it was too popular and created crowds. Hello!!!! |
NP. Is there hurricane damage in the Naples/Marco Island area? Considering a spring break trip there. |
Whatever damage there was has been taken care of. |
No. |
Op- no it’s fine here. No evidence of hurricane other than the pier |
