These hotels have gotten so pricey. Any times of year when they are not $700+? |
Not in summer! |
Anytime it’s not a school break or long holiday weekend. Also you need to book way in advance to get the saver rate and stay at least 4 nights to get the best pricing. |
You don’t need to stay onsite: We stay offsite and have not iissues and don’t miss out on anything. |
We stayed at the cheapest universal hotel and it was nice, and extremely cheap. There’s a shuttle. |
We stayed at the Hard Rock in June. I think it was $435. We might have gotten some promotion but that was just luck. |
stayed at Hard ROck in January a few years ago on the club floor and it was under 400 a night. Really liked the location. |
Agree with the PPs on Hard Rock. It also gets you early admission passes. |
We’re paying $576/night at Hard Rock in a few weeks in the low-crowd days of mid-January. |
At that price, it may be cheaper to stay off site and to the VIP tour which includes entry to both parks, parking, some food, and front of the line entry |
we stayed at the Portofino for $600/night during spring break. It was worth it just to get the cut the line passes that come with staying onsite. Awesome pool area too. No regrets. |
The express passes are usually over $100 each, sometimes much more than that. The hotel is the cheapest way to get them. |
Even the cheap universal hotels offer those, and they are nice! |
Completely false. None of the cheap or even moderate Universal hotels offer express pass included with the stay. Exactly three hotels offer it: Portofino, Hard Rock, and Royal Pacific. |
You can buy Express Passes at the cheaper hotels, but the expensive hotels give all guests the Express Passes for no extra fee. |
