| On the girls side this could change things.. 2 yrs older and stronger before going to a 4yr. Thoughts? |
| Only impacts football, so far |
| make JUCO a more viable option especially with them being able to provide scholarships |

This Could be very helpful if they play in a decent JUCO league as well as knock out some 101 classes to lighten the load down the road. They could get a leg up over flakey college freshmen. |
| Most kids who play travel soccer in the DMV are from affluent families who live in competitive school districts. It’s hard to imagine many kids turning down 4-year colleges to play JUCO. I imagine most will go to the best school they can get into and just play club. |
| JUCO equals not good enough or HS grades not good enough, or some combo of prior with financial consideration. So small percent take a D1 spot after 2 years… not meaningful, Just another path for those that figure it out at a JUCO. |

What JUCO has girls soccer?
|
baseball and football. this will have little impact on soccer. |
They definitely take gap years. It’s common at Ivies for coach to tell them they would take them after a gap. |
Nah. Men’s basketball |
| This has no application except to the one kid. I doubt this is a trend. No story. |
Not in California, which is a huge soccer powerhouse. |
