What is the best salty green olive?

I want a jar of delicious big fat salty green olives. Heavy emphasis on the salt. What are your favorites?

Calevestrano is the most perfect green olive.

No!!! I just bought a jar and they’re not salty enough. Perfect consistency and size though but not enough salt.

The only answer is castelvetrano.

Is there a saltier version? I got the Mezzetta brand and they’re so plain

Castelvetranos are pleasant for people who don't like olive flavor a lot. They have a more vegetal flavor like artichokes.

You might want kalamatas even though they aren't fat or green. Try Trader Joe's.

We sometimes buy big jars of Nabulsi olives, product of Turkey. They are cheap, pretty salty and are like $8 on sale. We usually doctor them by throwing in a bunch of stuff in the jar anyway.

I love castlevestranos too. Also frescatranos.

My brother eats a lot of olives and likes Trader Joe’s manzanilla olives the best. I don’t think they’re fat though.

Buy them at an olive bar, not in a jar.

It varies, but generally some combination of lemon slices, garlic, hot peppers, small onions, radishes, maybe some red bell pepper slices for extra color.
