| Only 2-3 people will eat it so don't want to buy a whole honey baked. |
| not what you asked but you can buy from the Honey Ham store plated ham by the pound. It's good. |
Didn’t know this thanks!! |
| You cannot. |
Agreed. But some of it is better than that sugar-injected Honeybaked Ham store crap. |
Which ones? One of the people I’m buying it for is diabetic. So, sugar injected is probably not good. |
You are just going to need to read the labels. Generally "smoked" will have less than "honey baked" or "brown sugar" hams, but not necessarily. Buying a ham can be confusing. And knowing how to prepare it can be as well. I would recommend using AI to explain the different types to you. I'd do it for you, but for some reason Chatgpt is freezing up on me at the moment. |
Thank you. I’m so old. I need to get on the AI train. Never knew it could do this. |
| Fresh market usually has good small spiral glazed hams. |
| I get a small spiral baked at Whole Foods- it’s great! |
| Whole foods has a few types that would work: Niman Ranch pre-sliced hunks that would serve 2-3. Wellshire Farms Black Forest Ham, comes as a round, and would serve 2-4. |
| The smaller hams at Aldi - they come wrapped in a gold foil - are tasty. We have had them for a Christmas dinner several years in a row. |
| Country ham is great if you don’t want sugar. I wish I knew where to buy this locally |
| Smithfield Hickory Smoked Boneless Ham is pretty good. My MIL bought at Giant and brought it to Thanksgiving. It is small, so it’s perfect for just a few people. It’s not a sweet ham, but also not super salty like country ham. |
| I saw a while serano ham at Costco. |
