Feedback on City of Falls Church Public School System

We're looking at a house in the City of Falls Church. I did a check but there hasn't been much meat to the discussions of FCC schools other than they're good or are overhyped. My concern is that the schools are set up differently than anything I've known in terms of the splitting of grades and it looks like 8th graders are at the high school. Does anyone have any experience with FCC schools and the structure? I'm not from around here so I don't know anyone to ask. Just curious as to opinions. The overhyping comments obviously concern me but then I see that FCC schools are mentioned a lot as good schools and the schools rank high in various lists. Would you move to FCC because of the schools? Thank you for your help.
