Air mattresses can go to hell!

Anonymous
I write this at 3:40am, lying on a deflated air mattress on a wood floor. Ouch and dammit.

I’ve NEVER had one that doesn’t deflate after a few uses. This one started deflating before I even got on it.

Whine over but I reserve the right to complain about my back all day tomorrow.

From one sleepless soul to another: Ugh. That’s the worst. If you need to sleep on it again get this first thing in the morning:

Good luck!

We switched to the folding foam mattress thing. It’s actually very comfortable.

They are so uncomfortable. I use foam mattresses. Fold them away when not needed.

why can't they do this right i just don't understand or maybe i should've bought the most expensive ones?

Air mattresses stretch out after you fill them, so you always have to top them off a few hours after pumping them up.

There are air mattresses have that have a small second built-in pump that continuously runs to avoid this problem. They work pretty well.

Air mattresses are terrible. Sorry, Op. You might as well have started out on the floor.

DING DING DING DING!! WINNAH!

Slept like a baby through almost 3 years of war in two countries on a set up like this. Only things that ever woke me up was getting mortars dropped on the FOB or getting stung by a scorpion, which happened with regularity in Iraq.

How are the IKEA futons? Better or worse for sleep than an air mattress?
