No, but I’d love some beef tenderloin, a Honeybaked ham, or (gasp) something that isn’t Protein and Sides. Thanks for asking!

My dad went on his one and only hunting trip when I was a teenager, and he brought some skinny dead geese home and my mom tried to cook them for Christmas and the whole thing was an epic disaster.

My sister and I still laugh about it to this day, 50 years later.

Mac and cheese, rolls, roast potatoes, green beans, a lot of beaujolais

The Joy of Cooking suggests the following for "formal" Christmas dinner:

Goose stuffed with sweet potatoes and apple
Turnip cups filled with peas
Corn zephyrs (a kind of corn puff/muffin)
Cherry pie

But you might substitute fig pudding for the cherry pie.
