VRSC's biggest threat is going to always be LS just like it was for old FCV. SYC is filling a void and as long as they can keep the younger players from being poached to ECNL teams like they always have been, they will have a bright future. |
Poached? Like syc does at every age group u6 to u19? |
Let's not act like there isn't a ton of people living in the immediate area that SYC serves. |
Let’s not act like SYC is a victim small club. |
Was surprised by the SYC 2011 win. With most of the TSJ girls coming over to VRSC and the success that they had at TSJ. |
Anyone know how the 07/06 teams did? |
They lost 4 starters, and this was their first actual game that was not a scrimmage. I don't think that loss is reflective of them. |
So if VRSC wins they’re awesome if VRSC loses there’s an excuse. Straight out of a salesman booklet 🤫 |
Don’t forget that their coach who no one has ever heard of outside of ashburn is the best coach in the mid Atlantic. |
Lauded as expert and game changer. Who was he and what did he achieve before FCV made him into what he is now? Asking for a custom.. Erhm friend |
Dry your eyes. Tell us you know nothing about the game without telling us you know nothing about the game. At all levels, players change teams for a variety of reasons. These reasons include, more playing time, the opportunity to win more than the current team offers, being closer to home, and for someone they perceive as a better coach. At the professional level, the opportunity to earn more money is a factor. In the professional ranks, all the "big clubs" attract players from perceived, and in reality, smaller clubs. Bayern, over time, has had very few home grown players. Instead, they Hoover up all the talent from smaller clubs in Germany. It's basically a given, if you are an exceptional player in the Bundesliga, you will end up at Bayern. You may be loaned out or sold but you will go there. Since the takeover, Paris Saint Germain has, for the most part, brought in it's most talented players from other clubs. Despite, it's storied La Masia, not all of Barcelona's stars have been home grown. David Villa, Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez, Samuel Eto'o, Ivan Rakitić, Neymar, and Deco, to name a few, didn't start in Barcelona's youth system. Cristiano Ronaldo did not grow up sleeping under a Manchester United duvet as a child (well maybe but probably not), even Mbappe who everyone knew wanted to play for Real Madrid eventually did not start his career, and make a name for himself there. In fact, very few big names start at RM. It is well known they have a "Galactico" signing mentality at the club. Not just here, but many places, people show who they "fear." If a club isn't worth discussing then don't discuss them. Certainly the manure posters who frequent this board don't have to worry about their child washing out of their current club because somehow everyone's kid is the top player on the team. If somehow they do wash out, not being taken by VDA, Union, SYC or whoever doesn't matter because "we don't want to play there anyway." |
It’s like the old adage: If they are talking about you, it’s probably working. The time to worry is when no one is talking about you. |
I've been really impressed with the Pre-season prep. After all that happened to us last winter/spring with the club expanding so much and getting bGA you can see they are really trying to start up something big from the ground up. You haters are you pathetic unhappy trolls. I hope your life gets better and you get off this board. It's toxic for you.
Parents and players are overall happy. Anyone that makes fun of that and talks bad about kids are gross. |
What's the over under on GA games for this weekend? I'm wondering who's going to end up looking the best. Maybe the 2011s? |
Beadling matches will be tough. Century will be easier. |
