Dc's best friend is in. Don't know his stats, but a great kid.

Given the nastiness on the Harvard ED thread, I don’t expect you’ll get many takers. My kid was rejected. I’m not about to post stats so anonymous strangers can tear her apart.

My DC’s classmate from TJ got in SCEA.

I know 3 very small legacies from the DMV who all got in.

Somebody from my kid's school got in last year and nobody knows who. These days it is better to just keep it to yourself. The hate is overwhelming

Don’t blame you, hope she’s doing okay with news. Wish this place wasn’t so nasty, it could be so helpful with anonymity and people being willing to share more than usual due to that.

Odd you know 3.

Anyone else know 3, from the same area, same hook, all scea, and all this cycle?

If its any consolation, my kid who organically had a resume and qualities which Princeton admission folks seems to gush about, got deferred and then put on waitlist in RD. They didn't wait to get off waitlist and accepted another T20.

Princeton was going to be full pay even if the got in and other T20 gave a significant merit scholarship. However, this was few years ago and my DC is Asian from large competitive suburban public high school.

Princeton is always all legacy and athletes. Always has been at our school. Very, very rarely is there a Princeton admit--even those had a hook built in (race/ses, etc--while having the stats). Other Ivies, yes--but not Princeton.

My kid was on Princeton WL too, RD applicant. Don't worry--I'm not sure anyone got off the WL last year. I think there were 1,700 kids on the WL. But, P told my kid it was closed by June and they weren't admitting any off WL.

sorry to derail, but which T20 gave big merit? Emory, Wash U, Vandy? (am I forgetting someplace?)

Dpp, but each of those schools offers a very limited number of merit full rides,

What is a "very small" legacy?
