| The fat lady is singing, right? |
| Doesn’t bode well, but it’s not definitive. You’ll know soon enough. |

How many kids go to this particular Ivy per year?
At DD’s school, the college counsellor tells the student where they stand relative to other ED candidates within the class that year. |
| No…athletes are additive to the “normal” acceptances. If Harvard could recruit the entire Sidwell basketball team they would…but a kid good enough for Kentucky isn’t going to Harvard. |
| Disagree. Those kids take the spots. |
| I cannot speak to all schools, but for some colleges, the athletes and regular applicants are entirely separate. One example of this is Notre Dame. |
| Someone did a review of Harvard acceptances out of Southern California. Of the 103 admits, 40 were student athletes. |
| Sorry for your kid |
| The gc should have prodded your dc in another direction. |
If it is a large and well regarded high school, then 2 athletic admits wont hurt your chances

Yale, too. |
My kid got into two Top10/ivy in RD that normally only accept 0-1 each year from the prep and both schools already had 1 recruited athlete each and one had an additional unhooked ED acceptance. They also got into other T10/ivy in RD. They had plenty of elite options to choose from despite not doing ED anywhere and having more recruited athletes vying |
