DC row house - terrible neighbor

Anonymous
I live in a dc row house. Thinking about selling. Next door neighbor runs all sorts of illegal activities that I hate but don’t affect me directly as his neighbor. I’m under no obligation to disclose any of this, am I? Should I mention anything to our realtor?

As a fellow DC rowhouse owner I'd love if you indulged my nosiness as to what they're doing

But no and no. The DC disclosures doc isn't worth the paper it's written on and even so there's no section for bad neighbors.

OP. He appears to be a middle man in a drug dealing operation. He moved into the house after his mother passed a few years ago. Good times.

Don’t think you’re required to say anything and I don’t think I’d mention it.

Growing or selling? Can you report ?

He may show up in crime reports that potential buyers might look at but you’re not obligated to disclose anything.

+1. You say the neighbor is engaged in illegal activity. Why are you not reporting this to the police?

You all got to be kidding me. Nobody gives a hoot. Nobody would even come out and check. They wouldn't even come out of if they had kids there helping to grow it all.

I moved because of noisy neighbors. Even with a 2.5 percent mortgage. Life is too short. Just move.

Y’all are profoundly stupid. There are many reasons not to do this.

Op. I have anonymously reported it and have ZERO faith MPD will do anything about it.

Report it, anonymously, again.

Report report report and get other neighbors to report. Talk with your ANC and Councilmember.

No need to disclose, though.

Ask the real estate agent what you need to disclose in DC and do that.
