Ripe bananas: no banana bread or smoothies

Anonymous
My kids became obsessed with bananas and then quickly dropped them this past week. Isn’t it funny how that sometimes happens? Anyway, I suddenly have about 20 ripe bananas sitting on my counter that nobody is interested in eating. We have tons of frozen ones for smoothies and everybody is sick of banana bread. There’s a few in the freezer anyway. Any interesting recipes that use white bananas that are not just cut up for smoothies or banana bread?

+1 pudding

Mix sliced bananas with sliced strawberries for a fruit salad

Bananas Foster? - I’ve never actually made it.

Magic Oatmeal Cookies? - Another recipe I’ve never tried, but I just recently saw on Youtube. With just 2 ingredients it wouldn’t require much time or ingredients to experiment.

There are a few variations of banana bread, but also some interesting ideas. I'd be all over the banana beignets and banana s'mores.

Isn't there also a pancake recipe that calls for banana, oats, and .... (butter? eggs? oil? I recall it being 3 ingredients but can't remember what the third one is) - you whizz everything together in a blender and fry it into pancakes.

Freeze them until your kids like bananas again.

Agree w/make and freeze pancakes. Find a recipe where you mash the bananas and no added sugar is needed.

Hummingbird cake. It's a glorified banana bread, but SO good.

When I have too many bananas- I make mulligatawny soup. I use several.

Recipe : note, I don’t add chicken, I make pappadums or roti to dip in it
