| I see this a lot in the press etc and I can't quite get my head around it |
| Seeking attention, typically related to their attractiveness. |
Desperate for attention |
This. |
| Desperate, in general. Like a woman throwing herself at a man. |
Throws herself at a man is more of a pickme or pickmeisha. Thirsty (or the stronger “dehydrated”) mean a need for attention in general. |
PP. Huh. Did not know this. |
| how is a man thirsty? |
|
Fans are thirsty and the hot celebrities are the water. Thirsty Thursdays people post sexy fan cams.
I am a thirsty ho, here’s a photo of X with his shirt off. |
| Desperate for attention. Example: Meghan Markle. |
|
So being thirsty is negative.
Is posting thirst traps also bad? |
| I hate the word. It’s definitely a generational terminology. |
OP here. What is a "thirst trap"?? |
Ah this explains why she has been all over the news and social media this year. /s |
|
Everyone here is wrong. It’s sometimes used for attention, but most common use age is desperate for sex.
Remember how we used to say a hot person was a tall drink of water? Thirty comes from that. You’re thirsty a specific person. An attractive woman posting risqué photos is not the one who is thirsty. The desperate men who try to slide into her DMs are the thirsty ones. |
