STAT b/w anyplace other than RE's office?

I need to get b/w (no u/s) done STAT locally for an out of town clinic. I can get it done at SG, but prefer not to pay out of pocket for them to do it if my insurance will cover it elsewhere for FREE! I had to get some b/w done at Quest last week and what was supposed to be STAT took 2 days, so Quest is definitely not an option. Any suggestions on a local or hospital lab that might be able to do the b/w and get results to the out of town clinic by mid-afternoon the same day?? TIA!!!

I probably had stat bloodwork done at Quest 30-40 times and only once did I not get the results that day (and that was because I forgot to make sure STAT was clearly labeled on the form and that they labeled the vials that way). I would try Quest again, just double checking that the stat is on the form and the vials.

Labcorp did stat b/w for me. Never had any problems getting the results to my out of town clinic in time. Good luck!

To the PP who went to Quest - which location was able to provide you with stat results? I am willing to go to a diff location if it means it will truly be done stat!!!

To the PP who suggested Labcorp - Quest is in-network for me with Aetna, but Labcorp is out of network.

I'm the Quest PP. My location wouldn't help you, as I'm out in the boonies. I did have to call around to make sure the location I went to did STAT bloodwork (not all of them do). I tried Labcorp a couple of times and although I did get the results that day, I had to wait forever (over 2 hours on several occasions). At Quest, I was able to make an appointment and was always out within 1/2 hour.
