Financial aid application in Blackbaud

Hi - I am filling out my first ever financial aid application to accompany a high school application. I logged into Blackbaud and linked to a BBID and created two households - one for me and one for my STBX. However, when I fill out the financial information, there does not seem to be a mechanism to create a second household for financial purposes. I am assuming the school wants this info, so should I be adding up our info into one household's financial picture? I have emailed and called the school - no answer yet - and Blackbaud help desk said this is a school policy decision. Anyone BTDT?

I don’t have a fix for you but can commiserate. We are at a private that uses Blackbaud for current students and when we joined, they somehow gave my DH access to the financial side of the account and my account can only access the rest (grades, directory, handbook, forms). No matter what we or customer service does, we can’t combine accounts or see more information from our respective accounts. We joke that we should unenroll and reapply to see if we can redo Blackbaud access.

Contact the school. They won’t ding you for something like this, don’t worry. Usually if one person is having an issue, others are too and/or they have a policy that will reveal it to be a non-issue.

x2 on the commiseration. Blackbaud is terrible. Definitely call the school - they can help you navigate the situation, or what you need to do to work around it.
