Hip bursitis - Can it be cured?

Anonymous
37 years old, came down with pretty sharp pain in the right corner of my hip 2 weeks ago. I immediately went to PT who diagnosed me with hip bursitis. I am confused as to how I got this as I did not have any injuries or incidents that I recall.

I am pretty sad! So far I am advised to put ice pack on it and not sit too much and go for walks. It is getting better but still not 100 percent. Any advice?

Lots of stretching like I did for sciatica.
For me, it was identifying the root cause. Deep squats make it flare so I had to remove them from my lineup. After a year of intense pain, it disappeared when the squats did.

No, it is unfortunately going to come and go for the rest if your life now. Rest and recovery are important. Every time you do something that causesnit to flare up, that essentially resets the healing process and timeline. Rest, stay hydrated, eat a healthy diet and give it time.

Motility training and barre classes helped mine.

Can be cured with the right stretches and life style choices. Gluten and dairy flare my issues.

I am a side sleeper who sleeps with a body pillow and stretch my leg all the way over it, which works since I only have the bursitis on one side.
