I always smell a grapefruit like body odor on some women, what is it exactly? It’s not pleasant nor unpleasant

It definitely leans toward unpleasant to my nose but I find that in my life experiences, I’ve picked it up on different women in different settings. I don’t believe it’s a perfume, moreso a body odor itself.

Yeah, I know this is strange but has anyone else ever noticed this odor?

It seems to be coming from their skin internally. It’s odd to describe, but you can tell it’s not a perfume or soap.

Often when I walk into a bathroom stall after another woman, I gag at the smell. And no, I’m not referring to the smell of shit.

Well, I recently went through a rough period where I didn’t bathe for a week, and I recognized it on myself.

A lot of people simply don't clean themselves.

That is true but different. That is the smellnof decay from their interior. Usually expressed through breath or sweat.

I can't stand that smell and I've encountered SO many women who wear it. I don't understand women wearing body spray instead of perfume!

Victoria’s Secret Love Spell and Clinique Happy are both insanely popular fragrances and both have a grapefruit smell to them. Maybe you’re smelling popular perfumes? Both have been around a long time too, since probably the late 90s.

It may be how your nose smells certain smells.

My husband confounds sweat and urine smells with tomato sauce smells.

So I let him pick all the spaghetti sauce we cook.

There are known chemical similarities between parmesan cheese and vomit. Some people don't like parmesan cheese because of that smell.

That would be my guess as to your grapefruit scent...it's a compound you smell in sweat or greasy hair.

There are some people that love the Fruity and Citrus body spray, smell great first five minutes but at the end of the day, that distinct smell. I never buy them again.

Go get a full body scrub from a spa and see if the unpleasant smell goes away, process of elimination
