Has anyone been? Is it worth a trek for a seasoned baker? (from NW DC)
I have a well stocked pantry and enough cookware so this would be for baking ingredients that aren't otherwise easy to find. |
| I haven't been, but my neighbor who is a serious baker went for things like espresso powder and bagel-specific flour that you can't get at a regular grocery store. So yes, might be worth the trip. |
| It's fun to visit, but it's gt a tiny fraction of the things in the catalog. Maybe worth it if you've always wanted to try jammy bits but not enough to pay for shipping or if you want to see an Anskarum in person. For restocking regular ingredients, probably not as good as just ordering enough to get free shipping. |
| They have a lot of mixes (sugar cookie, frosting, etc). I wouldn’t make a special trip. |
| It’s small, but I got the rye flour I needed to make bread. |
| I’ve been 3 times lol. It’s small but I love it. |

| WHAT IS THIS?! |
| Open one in MD! |
I went to the one in Bethesda and it was fun to visit but if you have a well stocked pantry and enough baking supplies then it’s just fun. I bought a small bag of flour but that’s it. |
| On Dec 9th its 25% off everything. F&F event. |
There's one right now at Wildwood in Bethesda, until January. |
