| I just heard from my daughter that Blair High School went into a shelter in place. Anyone hearing any ideas why? |
| Yikes. |
Your kid will probably know before the word gets around town. Wootton had a đź’Ł threat Monday. |
| Yes apparently there was a girl whose boyfriend hit her. She is now en route to the hospital. The kids were in shelter in place because the boy was being detained by administrators and decided to make a run for it. Cops and an ambulance were around the building. My son thinks the cops have him because they are out of a shelter in place now. |

Above info isn’t correct.
A male student was having a mental health crisis. Was fighting security. Taken to hosp. |
|
The previous post bears note relating to the message sent out by the school than your info. A girl was beaten repeatedly in the stairwell by a male student. The girl was taken to the hospital. No word re a mental health crisis |
Sigh. We need to do a better job educating these kids. Even if it turns out the perp has special needs or something. |
MCPS admin strike again. Always covering up misdeeds with "mental health crisis." |
What education do you think the school system has not provided to this alleged student that would make him think assaulting his girlfriend was ok? |
gmafb. |
Sigh. It turns out you are a fool or something. |
This info was wrong. It was a male student who relatedly punched a female student. She was taken to hospital. |

Two incidents in a day?
AM announcement: Earlier this morning, Wednesday, December 4, a male student punched a female student many times in a stairwell. A group of students stepped in to help and the female student received medical treatment in the Health Room and was transported to Holy Cross hospital to receive further medical treatment. PM announcement: Late this morning, Wednesday, December 4, a situation arose in the school's front atrium involving a student who appeared to be in distress and potentially a danger to himself. School security and administrators acted swiftly to intervene, and emergency services, including police, were immediately contacted. Out of an abundance of caution, we initiated a temporary shelter-in-place protocol from 10:47 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff. The student was subsequently transported to a local hospital to receive medical care and support. |
Well, well. Busy day at Blair then! |
