Why are two of my toes perpetually cold and numb all winter long?

Anonymous
Only in the winter. The last two toes on my left foot (baby toe and “ring” toe) are cold and numb on and off throughout the winter. It takes forever to warm them up and they seem to get cold for no particular reason. Example, right now they are cold and numb, and I am in warm socks. Yesterday, I was doing the same thing in thin athletic socks and they were fine.

I would tell a doctor about this if I were you.

Are you diabetic, or is there any possiblity you could be in an early stage of that?

I know for a fact that I’m not. It’s not that.

They definitely don’t turn white. My mother has this with her hands, and they turn white. My two toes look totally normal. I haven’t done much other research, but maybe they don’t have to turn white?

Do they have dark coloration when numb?
Sounds like raynauds
Don’t necessarily have to change to white
Any sores or itching?

Raynauds is definitely a possibility. My mom has it and her fingers and toes turn blue.
