The hotel is fine if a little dated but that is the charm of the place. They have cabins if you want to be out of the hotel. The only other hotel in the park is Yosemite Valley Lodge. That’s it. Everything else is out side the park and can mean an hour or more getting in the park/trails you may want to hike. Traffic can be very heavy and I think you need reservations to enter the park starting in February.
