| Is every school doing these during math class, or just WJ? I don't object to them doing it, but why oh why does it have to be during math class? That is the one class where there is not actually enough time to learn the material. It would be my absolute last pick for a class to do this during. |

| I think they rotate classes to miss for special presentations and math is up now. It needs to be a class that everyone takes like math or English. |

WJ isn't special. Those lessons are required by state law. Every high school does them - they just choose how to manage interruptions differently. |

| No. It is mandated and very much necessary. You would not believe what some kids go through. I am happy they have these. |

| It switches subjects every year so that they can reach every student without taking instructional time away from one subject yearly. It is mandatory for MCPS to provide this. |
