I have been reading about unsafe toxin levels in many glazes and dinnerware sets. Are there any eco-friendly non-toxic dinnerware sets you'd recommend? |
Just test your dinnerware for lead before you use it. Most dinnerware is not toxic. |

Here's a good article on it. If you want to be absolutely sure, buy glass dinnerware. |
Stainless steel or glass. |
Eco-friendly - don't buy new. This is the difficult starting point for almost everything in our consumer economy.
There are millions of lovely sets of dinnerware and china boxed up in people's attics or headed to the landfill. Ask on your neighborhood listserv and you will probably get your dishes for free. Buy some 3M LeadCheck Swabs and carry on. |
Pillivuyt's all white china is totally safe. It even passes that weird California warning test. Available online or at W-S. The online place has significant sales, so sign up with email and buy at a big discount. |
