Which is better: kindle or paperwhite?

My old Kindle 6th generation won’t hold a charge anymore, so I’m hoping Amazon has a good deal right now. If you have a preference for one or the other, can you tell me which one you like and why? Thank you!

Yes the lighting is amazing. I would never buy another kindle without it.
