My daughter returns to her college north of here on the NE Regional Amtrak around noon. We bought her ticket from Union Station, but I'm thinking it would be easier for me to drop her and for her to board at New Carrollton. Is this a problem? Pros/Cons? She's a freshman and has only yet taken the train home.
I'm guessing lots of people in my shoes here that may be willing to help me decide what to do. |
| I think it will be no problem. Does she go to Princeton? |
| Make sure the train is actually scheduled to stop at New Carrollton. If it is and after union station, she’s fine to get on there |
| No problem at all. Only con may be that train is an already a little more crowded when she boards at New Carrollton but seats will still be available. |
Good point. I’ll check. |
True and she does like the window. But…my drive is 10 mins faster to New Carrollton plus no city driving. Maybe I’ll sweeten the deal with a Starbucks for her. |
| Yes it’s fine. I’ve done that before on the NE Regional. Acela does not stop there. |
