| Or do apply to HYSM for RD |
| done |
| HSM, yes |
| Done |
| No, unless will for certain get 100% FA at your SCEA you apply to T25s that offer full rides. |
| So done. DD school also strongly suggests they be done. |
| Not done, but not applying to any other Ivies, etc. Just 2 Slacs. |
Which offer full rides?! |
| Depends on the kid. If they're sure that's where they want to attend and the finances work, then yes, you're done. If there is any possibility whatsoever that they might prefer another school come April, or that the cost might not be ideal, then no, you're not done. |
| Not done. Still fishing for merit at various other schools, including women's colleges. BUT definitely not applying to any other Ivy+ schools. |
Is there an easy way to know which schools have merit like this? |
Several elite schools have need-aware merit-based full rides for kids who would otherwise be partial pay. Schools like Hopkins, Swarthmore, Wellesley, Wesleyan, USC, WUSL, Notre Dame. |
Vanderbilt, Emory. Beyond top 25: Boston U, Boston College, UNC, UVA, UMD, etc. |
| Done, won't add more RD applications, but already have a few EA and RD submitted. |
At least some of these require that you submit your RD application by Nov 1 or Dec 1 to be considered for any merit scholarships Boston College is November 1 USC is December 1 So there is no way to get into Princeton SCEA and then decide at that point to apply to these other schools to get a scholarship offer. I don't know about the other schools on the above list. |
