It is NOT a joke. I see McLean HS pickleball players practice regularly at Lewsinville park all the time. The team is actually very good. |
| Pickleball is not a VHSL sport. It is a club sport at schools that choose to sponsor pickleball clubs. It is wildly popular, especially with the unreasonably competitive tryouts for the traditional sports |
how soon do you see it will have tryout/cut? next Fall? |
| might be worth attending, will definitely come watch. How many matches/games is it gonna be? |
| Oh oakton is winning that, their tennis team is one of the best in the state. |
Their Instagram is @oaktonpickleball |
why is that? |
| I thought pickleball was for old people. |
I think all the teams had tryouts and I heard that the Woodson pickleball team had cuts this year. |
I think mclean had 100 students try out and they cut it down to around 24 people. Seems promising, curious to see where it goes next year. |
