Clemson FAFSA email glitch?

Anonymous
We got this email and it's just the generic one that everyone gets. But my friend's kid's email has their name and Welcome to College of XXXX and the college he applied to. Does anyone's email have that info? It's worrying me that my kid didn't get in. Picked a hard major but did list a second choice.

I looked and it's the same as yours. Ds did not apply EA though.

Nope, just got the generic one.

Is Clemson a reach/target or likely for you?

My kid got “welcome to college of education” visible only in the the preview of the email (before you open it on phone). He did not have the college of education anywhere on app

OP here- I am wondering if those who say Welcome got it (even though they put the wrong college) vs those who got the generic one.

My kid's has his name at the top of the email, but doesn't say "Welcome to College XXX." This is my first time going through the college process with a child, and I dislike that Clemson has continued to push out emails for things like applying to the honors program and to explore the living-learning communities when he doesn't even know if he'll be given the opportunity to attend yet. I haven't noticed other schools he applied to doing this.

Same, except the preview continues "Clemson's Hon..."

Neither my DC's first nor second majors were in the College of Ed.

It seems like it was a glitch.

Collegevine claims it's a target, but then again my teen went TO. Probably wasn't a great idea but the test score was in the lower 1300 range.

The question is why do some even say Welcome to anything, even if it's the wrong major?

I think that means they will be accepted.

For those of you who said you didn’t get it. Are you sure looking at the preview only on your phone before clicking on it? We have the welcome thing but I missed it until this board alerted me to it. If I turn my phone sideways I also see it continues to say “Honors College logo is orange…”. FYI - My child did not apply to the honors college.

Yes mine just says "get a head start on financial aid"-- is that bad? Maybe someone will call and ask
