| Looking for a good Italian restaurant with classic dishes and vegetarian options. |
| Il pizzico is amazing (not sure about vegetarian) |
|
We enjoy Gregorio's Trattoria (Cabin John location on Tuckerman, have not been to others). Several non-meat/fish offerings.

| Avenging. |
| Aventino. Gah autocorrect. |
| Il Pizzico and Greggorio’s in Cabin John Mall are both great recommendations (I’m vegetarian and had plenty to choose from at both). I think Il Pizzico is nicer/better for special occasions and Gregorio’s is a little more casual. |
I really hated this restaurant. Not sure why everyone loves it. As a vegetarian, I just got pasta and some cheese for $50 dollars - horrible menu for vegetarians and no parking near by. |
Too loud also. |
Yuck. |
The County parking garage directly across the street does not qualify? |
I should have parked there but didn't. Not sure why Bethesda doesn't have good classic dishes Italian restaurants like Northern Virginia or have to go to DC. |
Caruso grocery at pike and rose is well reviewed but I’ve never been able to get a reservation there. Sorrento is fine for basic classic Italian. |
| I thought Aventino was good. Definitely good by MoCo standards. Caruso’s Grocery is great but need to make a rez early. I agree it’s a bit of an Italian joint desert in MoCo. It’s sad to say but even an Il Fornaio would be a step up in the area! Some people swear by Pines or Rome, others Olazzo, etc but none of them do it for me. |
Aw, glad to hear this is still good. We loved it years ago when we lived near there. |
Unfortunately nothing great available for vegetarian. Northern VA and DC a lot better. |
