What day did you test after FET?

What day did you test? How did you decide on that day?

My official test day is 2 weeks after FET. That’s a long time!

I am thinking about doing a home test 9 days post transfer. (It was a day 5 embryo.)

From memory, negative at day 5, positive day 7.

It's better to wait a bit longer if you can tolerate it. It is very hard to interpret a squinter. If you can't resist, do it first thing in the morning every morning so you can at least track the progress but keep in mind the urine concentration will make the line darker or lighter and try not to over analyze.

I am currently about 8 weeks pregnant with a day 5 euploid. I tested on day 4 and got a faint positive on a cheapie (that was the only pregnancy test I had that day), and faint positive on day 5 with FRER, Easy at Home and another cheapie. My current clinic obtains Betas 9 days post FET. My HCG was more on the high end.

It's a personal choice whether you want to test early. With my FETs I've always tested early, but at the same time keeping in mind that if I don't see a BFP early on it doesn't mean I am out. Every body/pregnancy is different. With my first pregnancy I also saw a faint positive on day 4/5, FRER (light and dark caps) lines were always more noticeable than cheapies. My HCG was about average for this first pregnancy.

With my chemical, I only saw a faint positive on day 7 (I started testing on day 4/5), then it faded after day 7 so I was I prepared on Beta day that it wasn't viable.

Good luck!!

Just to add as for the rationale of starting to test on day 4/5 for me, I noticed on a lot of forums some people started seeing faint positives on these days. I am very anxious and want to know asap. A lot of ppl get their BFP after day 4/5 also so I always prepare myself if I don't see a BFP early on it's ok. Some have also posted the implantation timeline which shows when the implanted embryo would actually start producing HCG, so day 4/5 is quite early.

I got a clear positive on a FRER 8 days post transfer after my first FET. That was a successful pregnancy. I started testing around the same time after my 2nd FET and ended up with a very, VERY faint positive 11 days post transfer, but that pregnancy ended up being ectopic, and my first beta with that one was barely over 50.

I was with SG for both, and I remember being very frustrated that they insisted on not running betas until 14 days post transfer, when friends at other clinics were getting them about a week earlier. However, if we had done a beta 7 to 9 days after my 2nd FET, we likely would have missed the positive (and possibly delayed the diagnosis and treatment of the ectopic).

Thanks for your replies!
It’s nice to know other people’s experiences. I’m leaning towards a home test 10 days post just so that I have some time to process before going back to work after the holiday. My beta blood draw is right during the work week…

Fingers crossed!

Also, it’s good to understand some benefit to waiting to do the beta until 14 days post. I am glad that they caught the previous poster’s ectopic pregnancy this way. (I’m *so sorry* that you had to go through that though.)

Fertility treatment is not for the faint of heart. I’ve never been through so much excruciating hurry up and wait in my life.

I always started testing at 4dp5dt, and that was the day I got my BFP on the only transfer that worked. I just used the cheap Wondfo strips.

I was negative at 4dpt and positive by day 5. I prefer knowing early, and rather lose hope gradually and in private to accept it rather than a call or email from a nurse

https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/ you can convert to dpo to know when you can trust a negative

I always tried to wait at least 9 days after the transfer, and I always always tested before the doctor's test. I wanted to be prepared for the failure.

When I finally got a positive it was immediate, shocking, and fabulous.

Hope you're well into a pregnancy now OP!

Thanks pp, I will be 11 weeks in a few days!
I tested 11 dp5dt and was so happy that it was positive. First trimester is a lot harder than I expected, but it is a bit better now. Good luck to everyone who is waiting!

I’ve had two kids via IVF and I had positive tests at 4 and 5 days post 5 day transfer, respectively.

I tested on the morning of the day bloodwork was due.
