I am looking for a gynecologist convenient to my home in Arlington.
I am now at Foxhall OB/GYN after leaving Reiter Hill Falls Church 2 years go after some upsetting experiences and general indifference by my formerly great long term doc. Maybe she burned out. Sibley was about as far as I was willing to go. My main complaint is UTIs and polyps and I don't want to drive all over to drop off a urne sample. So the Ballston INOVA team looks interesting. I could walk there. Any experiences? Pros or cons for gynecology only? Thanks |
| I'm not a fan of INOVA. |
|
Can you elaborate please?
Thanks. |
| Inova disappointed me. |
| Inova is soooo overrated. Nope. Just nope. Terrible. |
| I thought Foxhall was willing to do GYN? |
| You can find more reviews on healthgrades.com and checkbook. |
| A collection of incompetent doctors. Avoid Inova doctors in any location. |
+1, Including the concierge practice, across the Fairfax Hospital. |
^ I meant “across from” |
| I use INOVA OG-GYN in McLean and I like it. (I know, it’s not Ballston.) |
| Try one of the VHC doctors - I use Healthcare for Women and like them. |
| Love my Inova GYN in Dulles South and PCP in Oakton. As an Inova employee would love to hear more on the hate for Inova as noted above (not an MD) |

Thanks everyone. OP here.
Foxhall supposedly is going to do gyn but I can't imagine carrying on in that big facility with 3 doctors? If they do how long to get an appointment!? In winter I would rather not go over Chain Bridge... I will look at McLean and VHC. |
Are you past needing an OB? It might be worth finding a GYN practice only. I went to my OB-GYN once and all three doctors were out doing emergency c-sections and they had to reschedule us all. These things happen, but if you don't need pregnancy related, it might be worth seeing someone who doesn't do OB services anymore. |
