I re-landscaped this spring 2024 - lots of new shrubs, ground cover, a few perennials, and 3 new trees. The trees have water bags. Do I remove the water bags now? Or should I keep watering since we haven’t really had a freeze yet? Do I need to keep giving the shrubs a good soak r
Or running the sprinkler? No irrigation system and I’m in the DMV. |
| You car going to have to shut off your outside faucets and open them to drain very soon. Give everything one last water. The bags will freeze. Remove them. |
| In MoCo the hard frost is predicted to arrive over the weekend. Plan accordingly. |
| We are less than a week away from the first good freeze. You can probably wrap it up for the season. |

Do you understand about the outside faucets, OP?
Turn off from inside, then detach hose and open exterior faucet. Leave it. |

Water when it is dry. Even in the winter.
Wet soil doesn't kill plants when it freezes, dry soil does. |
