Stone Ridge - legacy/sibling pref

Anonymous
Just curious of others' experience with this. Have two DDs there now, one in US, one in MS with third who will apply to 6th this year (to start in the fall). How much, if any, sib preference exists for youngest DD? Second DD had strong stats and scores, so hard to know.

It's usually significant. Schools do not like denying admission to siblings for a number of reasons.

They recognize it's upsetting to everyone and they do not like discord.

HOWEVER, it does happen that siblings are denied. It's generally because the school feels there may be academic or social problems with the younger sib. Or the experience with the parents has been so off-putting that they aren't interested in signing everyone else on campus for a number of years,

But if you don't believe either of these is the case, then you can be confident in the younger child being accepted.

This. As long as the younger siblings scores/grades are in reasonable range and there are no major red flags like behavioral issues reported from previous school or really challenging parents (you), I think you can have a high level of confidence.
