| If you have recently done Invisalign or gotten a quote, how much was it? I got a quote that was much higher than another family member’s a few years ago. I’m wondering how much variability there is in price. |
| $7500 for each kid. Insurance covered $3000 of that (each). |
| $3700 for my tween. |

Does the cost vary based on the severity of straightening needed and time required? My son needs minor corrections (more cosmetic) yet I've been told I'll likely have to pay for a full course of treatment at full price. I guess I am subsidizing the more time-consuming and complex cases?
(or maybe because I live in Arlington they assume I can afford it, hah!) |
| I'm pretty sure they back into a patient contribution after knowing what insurance is. Just after chatting with friends. |
| 6500 |
Our ortho said they do this. |
| $5800, insurance covered 3k. In case it is useful, I received the Invisalign quote before I signed up for dental insurance that covered it. |
| It was around 6k for my DD - her treatment was pretty basic - just some simple cosmetic straightening. I was still considering dental insurance at the time so I don't think it factored into the quote. We went with traditional braces which were around 5k. |
| Around $7500. I went with a provider that cost slightly more but offered lifetime retainers. My understanding is that getting retainers replaced every couple years once you're done can really add up. |
$5600 a few years ago for an adult. Treatment estimate was 6-9 months, but ended up taking 2 years. Flat fee covered everything including the extra time. |
| $4000 as an adult in the last few years at my orthodontist |
| $6700 for two-phase comprehensive treatment. They did not base on this on insurance, since I didn't volunteer that ours covered it until after we got the quote. |
| $5000. Insurance is paying $3,000. Mid treatment now. |
