Traffic in NOVA right now?

Lile what is happening??! Im a passenger for hours now from fairfax to falls church Arlington literally reverse commute its taken almost 2 hours for 10 miles.

What is going on?!

Virginia is adding multiple lanes to the beltway in both directions and rebuilding a lot of the interchanges. Spillover traffic everywhere.

I live in Maryland and generally avoid going to Virginia because of the traffic. The contrast between the states is night/day when you look at the level of economic vitality and speed construction on transportation projects. I might live long enough to ride the Purple Line at the end of my block but I'm nearly 60 and I probably only have 20 years left.

Traffic YESTERDAY (Tuesday) coming out of DC into arlington from like 7 to 7:45 pm (so, the other way) was unexpected heavy to me, fwiw. (I was on 66)

I had no idea they were doing that! Thank you for letting me know. How long until they are done do you know?

Where in MD do you live? I thought traffic was just as bad there but now you have peaked my interest lol tell me more.
