Help me solve this car damage riddle

I had to get the rear right door of my minivan replaced (damage wasn't my fault). I picked it up from the body shop on Halloween. Spouse and I drove it around on short errands that weekend. On Monday the 4th I dropped it off at the mechanic to be serviced and detailed. Picked it up and drive it home a few days later, where we noticed damage to the same door. The top was dented in, the bottom trim was poking out and it was making a grinding sound when closing.

Mechanic is saying it wasn't them. They sent me grainy photos that might show damage but I don't know when they were taken and it's hard to see it. Body shop is saying I signed off on the car and it was in perfect condition. Neither spouse or I hit anything. It's not the type of damage that could have been hit and run in a parking lot since there's some interior damage.

Who did this?

The mechanic where you detailed the car, presumably. Maybe it was hit after it was serviced, in their parking lot, while waiting for pick-up?
