Champions aftercare at our school has made a decision to relocate one of their staff to another site. Communication has been horrendous and only after weeks of asking q’s today we still left in the dark. What has your experience been with Champions around the area? Is communication not a thing? Also, when such changes happen shouldn’t parents be notified? |
We have Champions too. I’ve been generally pleased in that the kids are enjoying themselves, screens are minimal (rainy days only) and they get a bunch of extra playground time.
I think your expectations are unreasonable. It’s fairly cheap aftercare. I assume the pay is somewhere between middling and atrocious. Staff leave, arrive, move sites all the time. We only get notification if the site director changes. Now if there was some kind of major incident, I’d expect more info, but I’d also expect that person to be fired. Do you have concerns that something happened or is this just usual staff churn? Can’t you just chat them up and pickup and ask casually if you’re concerned? |
The staff was moved because of ONE parent’s compliant….. but even that wasn’t communicate directly to parents. You get a different answer depending who you speak with….. |
