Business chic attire?

I'm going to an event that lists the above as the dress code.
Im 46, 5 feet 8, size 10.

Can anyone help with what that means?

Probably going for the opposite of business casual but not all the way to cocktail party.

Fashionably trim men's suits. Eyecatching but professional dresses and pant suits for women.

Probably not evening fabrics...satin lapels, glittery stretch materials.

I like that but maybe a little more glam. Can your blouse be metallic or velvet? Or can your tweed jacket have some sequins or lurex fibers?

Personally I'd wear my black suit and add a satin blouse with a bit of shine.

I bought something like this (the exact dress is no longer available) and went to an event and it turned out really well. (I was desperate and it was the quickest thing I could get.) I wore it with a small black suede Prada bag and black suede Manolo Blahniks, which made it all look expensive.
