UVA, UCB, UMich, UNC are the top academic “attainable” schools that are not difficult to get into if you are a state resident AND are super smart(ie 1500+ and top 5-10% of your high school while taking the hard classes)

You will not get agreement here, or anywhere, on what's the best anything, period. I think the question you're asking is what's the "best overall college" for your kid (or yourself, if you are a student posting on this site). Only you can answer that based on your kids' interests, future career plans, and preferences on size, weather, social plans, urban/suburban/rural, etc. So, basically, why don't you share some of that if you want to get some actually helpful responses.
