How are the prices at The Wiggle Room? Say - for an infant outfit? larger toy (ride on or wagon)? Anything else you've noticed to get good deals there?
Any other recs in the area for reasonable baby stuff? (Upper NW/close in MD or NoVa) |

Kensington Caboose in Kensington. We bought a music table there for DD for 10 bucks.

| LOVE Wiggle Room. I get great deals on fancy shmancy clothes that Potomac moms turn in. Friendly staff, though the owner sold a while ago. EXTREMELY unfortunate that a cigar store moved in next door, but I do not find that the clothing smells, though the store kind of does... |
| I think the prices at Wiggle Room are pretty good; the selection is decent too. have never bought anything there but clothes. |
| I think Wiggle, Kensington Caboose, and Growing Years are your only options in lower western MoCo. There used to be a great place in Brightwood, but they went out of business a few years back. |

DD is 4 months, and so far I have not bought anything other than Wiggle Room clothes: organic (Kate Quinn, Nordstrom Baby Organic, etc) or other quality brands such as Janie and Jack, Marie-Chantal (the eponymous line from the Princess of Greece), Petit Bateau, Cyrillus, Jacadi (lots of good French brands since there is a French community around Bethesda). Nothing for more than $15! Burberry is more expensive and not worth it in my opinion.
My best find was a pink and white Baby Dior ensemble (dress with coat) for $8 instead of more than $200 new! Yes, you read that right
I would never buy the more expensive brands new, since you pay more for the brand name than the actual quality of the clothes. But at these prices, I am hooked! |

Prices are really good at Wiggle Room and if there is a certain % off after so many days (maybe 60?). Clothes are good quality.
Kensington Caboose has been hit or miss with me. When I went inlooking for something specific (bumbo seat/tray) they had just checked one and gave it to me at a really good price. But the last time I went in, I couldn't find anything in regards to clothes. There is also Togs for Tots in Silver Spring. I find their prices to be high. A friend of mine likes them b/c you can return items. When I got my high chair/stroller there I felt it was too much and asked if they could take some money off, which they did if there was something wrong. Never been to the Growing Years. My friends talk about value Village in Silver Spring too, but never been there. |
| Shopping the place to go is Value Village and Unique Thrift. My kid wears Ralph Lauren, Gymboree, Mini Man, LLBean, etc all gotten used at VV and UT. |
