These three books all have the exact same plot and I'm unreasonably annoyed by this and wanted to see if anyone else feels similarly. I'm particularly frustrated because I finally read the Housemaid after it was so popular and I could tell in the first couple chapters that this was exactly the same as TWBU and TNMP and it felt like a waste of a read.
The all have: - Man who is too good to be true turns out to be too good to be true - Abused victim gets replacement in order to escape - Abused victim helps replacement in some way Bonus points to The Housemaid and The Next Mrs Parrish for both including involuntary commitments to mental instituations. |
| My sympathies, OP. I hate these time-wasters. I thought The Next Mrs. Parrish was the stupidest, most lazily written book I’ve ever read. I was annoyed with myself for finishing it. Can’t believe it has been copied. |
| Thank you. I've read a lot of terrible books recently but these three really jumped out for the laziness you point out and the repetitive plot. |
