Putin and Trump

Looks like Putin's TV stations aired nude pics of Melania while they congratulated Trump, smirking and addressing him as Melania's husband. Is Trump really Putin's b**ch? If not, why has there been no reaction from team Trump?

Medvedev, a former President, says that if the us president tries to pressure russia, he will end up like Kennedy. Why is THAT not getting a reaction?

Fox News and the R establishment is silent on this. Would be fun if a reporter raises this issue at a WH press briefing to force the Rs to talk.

I was really worried DCUM wasn’t going to have another “Trump-Putin” thread started today.

I plan on starting 3 tomorrow.

The fact that Trump loves Putin is big news, so let's discuss.

If Trump loves Putin so much, why did Trump sell Ukraine javelins? Obama refused the sale.

The Trump administration plans to sell 210 Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, providing the government with a powerful new weapon to use against Russian-backed separatists. The proposed sale announced on March 1, which includes 37 launch units, is valued at $47 million. The shoulder-fired missiles are presented as a “defensive” weapon intended to deter or help thwart any territorial advances by separatists, although Russian media said the weapons will add to the bloodshed in Ukraine.

Previously, the United States has helped provide small arms and support equipment and training. Ukrainian officials and supporters in the U.S. Congress have been pressing for the United States to provide more in the way of “defensive” weaponry. The Obama administration had been wary of putting more weaponry into an ongoing conflict. Congress is unlikely to block the sale during the 30-day review period. The missiles could begin arriving in Ukraine as soon as April.—TERRY ATLAS

Yes, he is.

And no reaction because he is a narcissist who cannot be shamed.

And for all the "russia hoax" people, sheesh, wake up.

And you ignore that those weapons were restricted to areas west of Kiev, so completely useless to defending Donbas or Doneskt - you all keep bringing this up and we keep telling you why it was a sham.

Donbas fell under Obama. Javelin can only be used defensively. If they were used in an area Russian forces already occupied, it would be offensive use. The US would have been accused of fighting a proxy war through Ukraine and Russia could have sent nukes to DC.

The FGM-148 Javelin, or Advanced Anti-Tank Weapon System-Medium (AAWS-M), is an American-made man-portable anti-tank system in service since 1996 and continuously upgraded. It replaced the M47 Dragon anti-tank missile in US service.[11] Its fire-and-forget design features automatic infrared guidance, allowing the user to seek cover immediately after launch, in contrast to wire-guided systems like the system used by the Dragon, which require a user to guide the weapon throughout the engagement. The Javelin's high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead can defeat modern tanks by top-down attack, hitting them from above, where their armor is thinnest, and is useful against fortifications in a direct attack flight. The Javelin uses a tandem charge warhead to circumvent an enemy tank's explosive reactive armor (ERA), which would normally render HEAT warheads ineffective.

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, NATO (NATO means the US. The first US president to sell Javelin to Ukraine was Trump) provided thousands of Javelins to Ukraine, where they proved highly effective. Javelins have been responsible for a part of the hundreds of Russian armored vehicles that Ukraine has destroyed, captured or damaged.[36] An image dubbed "Saint Javelin", which shows the Virgin Mary holding a Javelin launcher in the style of an Eastern Orthodox church painting, gained social media attention, and soon became a symbol of the Ukrainian resistance against the Russian invasion.[37][38][39] The Pentagon claimed that of the first 112 Javelins fired by the Ukrainians since the start of the war, 100 missiles had hit their target.[40][41]

How effective have anti-tank weapons been?

The US supplied Ukraine with 2,000 Javelin anti-tank missiles at the start of the conflict and has since sent at least 2,000 more.
Javelins can be fired so that the missile explodes on the top of a tank, where the armour is weakest, according to manufacturer Lockheed Martin.
A lot of Russian tanks are fitted with reactive armour which absorbs the impact of missiles.
However, Javelins are fitted with two warheads. One blows away the reactive armour, and the second pierces the chassis underneath.

It is thought that Russia has lost hundreds of tanks within two months of invading Ukraine.
Military experts put the losses down to the advanced anti-tank weapons which western nations have given to Ukraine, and to the poor way Russia has used its tanks.

Ukraine's armed forces say Russia has lost more than 680 tanks.
Meanwhile, Oryx - a military and intelligence blog which counts Russia's military losses in Ukraine on the basis of photographs sent from the war zone - says Russia has lost more than 460 tanks and over 2,000 other armoured vehicles.

"Javelin and NLAW are very potent," says Nick Reynolds, research analyst in land warfare at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). "Without this lethal aid, the situation in Ukraine would be very different."

Trump sold Ukraine the technology to help destroy russian tanks, when Obama said no.
Why would Trump do that if he and Putin were buddies.

Three weapons that changed the course of Ukraine’s war with Russia

Javelin
At the very beginning of the war, fighters on both sides were expecting Russian armored columns to begin rolling into the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv within days.

The Ukrainians needed something that could blunt that attack – and found it in the form of the Javelin, a shoulder-fired, guided anti-tank missile that can be deployed by a single individual.

This was particularly important in the early days of the war as the Russians tended to stay in columns when trying to enter urban areas. A Javelin operator could fire from a building or behind a tree and be gone before the Russians could fire back.

This could be seen in images early in the war of Russian tanks with their turrets blown off. Often, it was a Javelin that had done the damage.

HIMARS
The full US Army name is the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System. It’s “a full-spectrum, combat-proven, all-weather, 24/7, lethal and responsive, wheeled precision strike weapons system,” the US Army says.

That’s a mouthful, but to put it more plainly, HIMARS is a 5-ton truck carrying a pod that can launch six rockets almost simultaneously, sending their explosive warheads well beyond the battlefield’s front lines, and then quickly change positions to avoid a counterstrike.

“If Javelin was the iconic weapon of the early phases of the war, HIMARS is the iconic weapon of the later phases,” Mark Cancian, senior adviser for the International Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International studies, wrote in January.

Bayraktar TB2 drone
The Turkish-designed drone has become one of the world’s best-known unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) due to its use in the Ukraine war.

It’s relatively cheap, made with off-the-shelf parts, packs a lethal punch and records its kills on video.

Those videos have shown it taking out Russian armor, artillery and supply lines with the missiles, laser-guided rockets and smart bombs it carries.

“Viral videos of the TB2 are a perfect example of modern warfare in the TikTok era,” Aaron Stein, a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, wrote on the Atlantic Council’s website.

Pp, you are welcome to have an opinions, but you aren’t welcome to have your own facts.

Fact: DJT supplied Ukraine javelin to Ukraine to defend Ukraine and kill russian tanks.

I have a special affinity for tank warfare. When I was in the military, I was often attached to armor units. I had the experience of being attached to two of the American armor units who engaged and helped destroy over 3,000 Iraqi tanks.

I understand a lot of gossiping housewives post their opinions here and that’s what the forum is for, but you are obtuse and ignorant about this subject.
