Headaches with estrogen for FET. What helps?

Anonymous
I am having lots of headaches, some migraines, with the estrogen pills for my FET.
Anyone else have this? What helps?

At some point do you adjust to the estrogen? I just went up to 6mg/day (2-2-2).
Does it get better when you start progesterone?

Probably most women don't have much of a problem with this. I have always had bad hormonal migraines.

I have the same issue. I am sorry to say the headaches did not go away when I started progesterone, but they seem less frequent, so that is something?

Glad that your headaches lessened. This is quite a process!

They do not recommend hormone therapies with headaches especially migraines. Talk to your neurologist.

My IVF clinic has okayed me taking migraine medication before the transfer, and only Tylenol after transfer. I've had weeks of headaches in early pregnancy, but I do think they get better over the course of several weeks.

Thanks for the replies. I’m glad to know that one of the posters found that her headaches decreased over the weeks.

Pumpkin seeds are totally new to me. I’m going to try this!

I am the poster who posted this message. Just as an update, my FET was successful and I am now pregnant. I haven't had a headache in several days so I think things are settling down.
