| Did anyone hear about Whitman HS hosting a town hall the day after the election? They confirmed it and stood it on X. During it, they discussed the "massive changes" resulting from the election and how it will impact the MCPS community. And that the kids couldn't talk about the election because it would "trigger" others. MCPS hasn't commented on it, and the school didn't inform parents. Some kids told their parents, and Whitman confirmed it on X. This feels like a line crossed. |

| Do you a DC at Whitman? I do and they have many group discussions on a number of issues. This doesn’t rise to the level of parent notification. |

Teachers have been told not to say whom they voted for but can say they voted. Once again, mcps, send out a consistent message on what staff can and can not do and say.

Told kids they couldn't mention the election at all, or told them they shouldn't taunt other kids about Trump winning? I suspect it's the latter and not sure why anyone should have a problem with that... |

| There are people who are terrified and I'm not sure that will help them. I didn't vote for the guy, but I'm not going to lose my mind this time. I will enjoy watching the shitshow. I don't recommend protesting. Good way to lose an eye to a rubber bullet. |

| Email went out from WWHS principal. This is not an official Whitman account. It was fabricated and it looks like the person/persons who created it are getting exactly what they want. There was no Whitman Town Hall! This is the world we live in, folks. Blurred lines between fact and fiction. |
