Started 2 weeks ago at 2.5 and the first week I really did not feel any differently nor did I really eat differently. This is my second week and I definitely feel something now. I have a general feeling of fullness and a lack of desire to eat. I still do make myself eat some but I get the full feeling quickly so I eat much less. No other unpleasant side effects. Maybe a little cramping in the intestines occasionally. I have lost 6 pounds and need to lose 15 more to no longer be considered overweight. My goal is to lose a total of 30.
How do I or my doctor know whether to keep me at this dose or increase it after my next 2 doses. Also the applicator is super easy to use and doesn’t even hurt. I was a little worried about that. |
Mine looks to see if you are losing every week and if you are, you stay on that dosage. I lost probably 7lbs quickly and then slowed to around 1lb a week. But as long as I was still losing 1lb I didn’t go up. I’ve lost around 16lbs since July. |
They keep you at the starter does for about a month. Your body needs to acclimate to the drug. I didn’t lose a lot at first but the second month I started losing weight. |
I would have the doctor move you up for month 2 and see how things are going. That’s what I did. I did 4 weeks at 2.5 and now 6 weeks at 5. Moving to 7.5 next week. The whack issue, is since I need 3 months to really know what my A1C is, I’m guessing. Although i was able to stop one of my blood pressure medicines due to weight loss and my glucose, while still high, has come down. |
