2 individuals attacked and robbed Bryan Shaw on the 500 block of T street, after his shift on October 26. He was still alive when found unconscious on the sidewalk, but immediately put on emergency life support.

The 2 individuals also assaulted other victims in the 1800 block of Vermont Ave. NW, then assaults on the 900 block of Rhode Island NE. Bryan is survived by his boyfriend Tyler.

Question:

- do you believe the individuals- who are still on the streets - are just first-time offenders?

No, they committed multiple robberies that morning.

A life taken for McDonalds and Nikes.

His brother died suddenly just a few months ago, now this. My heart goes out to the family and his friends. RIP.

For a mother to lose both of her sons suddenly in 3 months and to have to take one off life support is gut wrenching.

Bryan was a friend of mine. I'm still heartbroken and despondent about this crime.

Two children, ages 14 and 16, have been apprehended.

Given how DC treats juvenile predators as "misunderstood souls," I don't have much hope in real justice being served. I'm sure Charles Allen thinks they just need more mentoring and a second chance.

There are just too many DC teens, even young teens, who are committing horrifying crimes. I I don't see how our current local govt is helping.

these kids are being raised in a culture of ultraviolence. you can rob someone without kicking them in the head.
