| My four year old (almost 5) keeps asking to get her ears pierced. What if she changes her mind at the store? I would be so embarrassed. Or she does one and won’t do the other. |
| Are there any places that pierce a four year old? |
|
They are old enough when they ask for it.
If she punks out after the first one, you take the first one out and it will close up |
Of course. There are people who get their infants’ ears pierced. It’s traditional in some cultures. |
| I was thinking twelve lol. |
| My otherwise wimpy kid asked for it at 7. I spent a few weeks making sure she knew what she was asking for, then did it. Piercing itself went fine, zero issues after. |
OMG. Who cares if you're embarrassed or not? What a bad parent. We waited until our girls were 5 then took them to a piercing shop where they did both ears at once. Easy peasy. My first had recently received a flu shot and said the ear piercing hurt less than the flu shot. |
| When they are old enough to definitely remember the experience and remember asking you for it, so that when they blame you someday for violating their bodily integrity you can remind them it was their choice. |
| My older daughter got her's when she asked at 5yo. My younger one is 4 and already asking so I told her we will go soon. |
My DD had to wait until 10yo. |
| We had a good experience at Rowan with my 7 year old. I’m pretty sure they will do four year olds. All their info is on the website. They won’t do needle piercings at that age but honestly the device is so quick and they will do both ears together. |
| I'd let her, why not? |
| 13 |
WTF? I have not met a single person who is estranged from their parents because their ears were pierced. |
| My policy is 10 years old, when you are old enough to make the decision, and old enough to care for your eaters and your earrings. |
