Mich Ross Portfolio

| DC devastated to find out her EA application to Ross was moved to RD because of missing portfolio. We didn't find any link or section pointing to this portfolio requirement. Anyone experiencing something similar. Any suggestions??? |

For DC it was on the Common App My Colleges tab, in the entry for UMich, in a separate category resting under Application titled “Portfolio.” It might only have appeared once the right fields were completed for Ross as school of entry etc.? Under Portfolio was a live link for “Instructions” that led to the portal for the portfolio.
Not the easiest. The materials around Ross were confusing and seemed to change (?) since the summer. These schools with a separate under-tab are maddening. One of my DC’s schools had a separate under-tab for submitting a basic supplemental essay that yielded its own confetti. Why? Give your DC w hug and remind them it is really cold in Michigan anyway! They will get in someplace great for them I’m sure! Ross seems like a lottery anyway. |

| She must be disappointed. Reassure her that most OOS applicants are deferred to RD anyway and now she’ll be able to showcase a string 1st semester sr yr and really write an amazing business plan. |

| The portfolio requriement is pretty clear on the website/ross admissions info. It's looks like a challenging project, perhaps to deter more people from applying? To be honest, i was the one who saw the requirement first and then told my kid. My kid chose arts & sciences because of that, in addition to the low acceptance rates for ross. Its a bummer, but if your kid has the stats to get into Ross, they will likely have other good options. Hugs to your kid. |

| Mine saw it but it was pretty daunting and decided to wait for RD to see if his ED to another school came through before spending time on the Ross portfolio. |
